NEWARK, Del. - The University of Delaware men's soccer team sank George Washington in their final non-conference match at home on Tuesday evening. The Hens overall record rises to 7-4-2 as they enter their last three games of the regular season.
The program's CAA record remains 2-3 after the Friday win against UNCW. The Hens will close their CAA regular season run with two away matches and a final home game over the next two weeks.Â
ON THE RECORD - "It was a really disciplined performance from the boys tonight, I'm really pleased," head coach Tommy McMenemy said. "We moved the ball sharply, and found the right solutions in the right moments. Whether it was in transitional moments or against a low block, we had an answer for each phase of the game. Each of the four goals was high quality, and we were able to use our strength in depth to see out the game, and that will enable us to be fresh and motivated for Northeastern on Saturday."
