Four Blue Hens Land on Field Hockey All-CAA Teams

RICHMOND, Va. – Four University of Delaware field hockey student-athletes have earned All-CAA honors, the league announced Thursday. Kate Fiest (First Team), Cameron Medinger (Second Team), Janne Stoetzer (Second Team and All-Rookie), and Kate Janssen (All-Rookie) all garnered recognition.
In her sophomore season, Fiest is second on the team with 10 points across four scores and two assists, including a pair of game winning goals. She was an All-Rookie team selection a season ago.
Medinger picks up her first All-CAA honor and has become a staple on Delaware's back line. Her five defensive saves have her sixth nationally.
Stoetzer picks up a pair of honors as the Hens' leader in points (15), goals (5), and assists (5). Of her 15 shots, nine have come on frame with the five scores.
Janssen has started all 18 games for the Blue & Gold in the midfield. She's tallied five points on two goals and one assist.
Third-seeded Delaware will take on second-seeded Northeastern in the CAA Tournament Semifinal on Friday at 3 p.m. from Drexel University.
