Women’s Tennis Falls Just Short at Virginia Tech

BLACKSBURG, Va. – For the second day in a row, the University of Delaware women's tennis team fell just short, 4-3, at Virginia Tech on Sunday.
ON THE RECORD
"That was another heartbreaker," Director of Tennis/Head Women's Tennis Coach Pablo Montana said. "Even though we came up short, I'm seeing so many good things from our players. The resilience on this team is second to none. These girls are playing with heart and courage, and I could not be prouder of them. We will learn from this and continue to improve this week as we prepare for Penn State."

- Eliza Askarova snagged a win at no. 2 singles after falling in the first set.
- Alina Vasilenko followed suit in the third slot and won back-to-back sets after falling in the first.
