Men's Lacrosse Moves Up to No. 14 in all Major Polls

NEWARK, Del. – After two convincing wins to begin the season, the University of Delaware men's lacrosse team jumped two spots in all three major polls as the Blue Hens were ranked No. 14 by the USILA, Inside Lacrosse, and USA Lacrosse Magazine, the outlets announced Monday afternoon.
A week after putting up 14 goals against Lafayette, the Blue Hens were back at it on Saturday as UD pummeled St. John's 17-6 on the road.
Sophomore Hank D'Ambrogi put the Hens on the board first and after the Johnnies knotted the game up at 1-1 in the 10th minute, the Hens went on an 11-2 run led by graduate student Mike Robinson and freshman John McCurry as Robinson finished with six goals and McCurry had three for his first-career hat trick.
The Hens have outscored opponents 31-12 through their two games this season and are among the top teams in both scoring offense and defense.
Delaware returns to action on Saturday, Feb. 24 against the Penn Quakers, who received votes in the latest polls. Game time is set for 3:30 p.m.
