Women's Basketball Hosts Final Regular-Season Meetings with Campbell on Friday, Elon on Senior Day Sunday

NEWARK, Del. – The penultimate weekend of the regular season is approaching as the Blue Hens will be set to play host for its final two home games. Delaware will welcome CAA-newcomer Campbell to Newark for the first time in program history Friday evening (March 1) inside Bob Carpenter Center. Then, the Blue Hens will host Elon Sunday afternoon as part of Senior Day celebrations inside Bob Carpenter Center for the final time this season.
Friday's tipoff is scheduled for 7 p.m. while Sunday's is slated for a 1 p.m. tip and both games will be broadcast live simultaneously on FloHoops and Delmarva Sports Network. With four games remaining in the regular season, Delaware currently sits in ninth place vying to move up in the conference standings.

- Entering Friday's game, Delaware is 10-16 on the year with a 6-8 mark in league play with four games remaining in the season.
- The last time out for Delaware was last Sunday, Feb. 25 on the road against Towson.
- The Blue Hens split the regular-season meeting with the Tigers after falling 70-57.
- Chloe Wilson led all scorers with a season-best 23 points (6-9 FG, 10-12 FT) off the bench. She neared a double-double by pulling down nine rebounds to go with two steals.
- Ande'a Cherisier added 12 points and seven rebounds.

- Wilson ranks third in free throw attempts (128), fourth in free throws (95) and 14th in free throw percentage (74.2).
- Klarke Sconiers ranks fifth in blocks (32), sixth in blocks per game (1.23) and 10th in free throw percentage (76.7) while Rebecca Demeke ranks ninth in three pointers per game (1.96).
- The last time out for Delaware was on Friday when the squad welcomed Campbell to Newark for the first time in program history.
- The Blue Hens dropped a heartbreaking 66-65 decision to the Camels.
- With three games left in the regular season, Delaware currently sits in ninth place in the league standings.
- Wilson led all scorers with 22 points (8-13 FG, 5-9 FT, 1-2 3FG) to go along with six rebounds.
- Cherisier followed behind with 11 points (5-8 FG) and two steals while Grace Sundback chipped in 10 points (3-6 FG, 2-4 3FG), four assists, three rebounds and three steals.
- Campbell enters Friday's matchup with Delaware sporting a 14-11 record and a 7-7 mark in league play.
- The Camels are currently on a two-game winning streak after capturing home victories over William & Mary two weeks ago and Hofstra this past Sunday.
- In the game against the Pride, Campbell claimed the 65-51 win behind Shy Tuelle scoring a season-high 20 points.
- The Camels made 13 total threes on the day led by Tuelle who made six and Brittany Staves who connected on four shots from deep.
- In 14 CAA games played in their first year in the league, Campbell secured its seven victories over Towson, Stony Brook at home, Northeastern, Elon on the road, UNCW at home, William & Mary and Hofstra but suffered seven losses at the hands of Stony Brook on the road, Monmouth two-game series, Elon at home, UNCW on the road, North Carolina A&T and Charleston.
- Campbell, the newest member of the CAA, was projected to finish 10th according to the Coaches' Preseason Poll as Shy Tuelle earned a spot on the honorable mention list.
- Elon enters the weekend sporting a 9-19 on the year and 5-10 in conference play with only three games left on the year. The Phoenix will head up to Delaware on Sunday ready to face the Blue Hens inside Bob Carpenter Center.
- The Phoenix is currently on a three-game skid falling to North Carolina A&T last Sunday (Feb. 25) at home, 77-46. For the second consecutive game, Maya Johnson recorded a double-double with a game-high 12 points and 10 boards. Maraja Pass followed with 10 points while Diamond Monroe added seven.
- In 15 CAA games played, Elon claimed five total wins, Campbell on the road, Monmouth, Hofstra, Hampton and Northeastern on the road but suffered 10 losses at the hands of Towson, Charleston, William & Mary twice, North Carolina A&T twice, Northeastern at home, Campbell at home, UNCW and Stony Brook.
- Elon was projected to finish 11th according to the Coaches' Preseason Poll as Raven Preston earned a first-team All-CAA preseason selection.

- This will be the first meeting between both teams along with head coaches Sarah Jenkins and Ronny Fisher meeting for the first time since taking over their respective programs.
- Delaware will be looking to get back into the winning column while Campbell will be looking to extend its winning streak to three games.
- This will be the lone regular-season meeting between both programs.
- This game serves as the 20th meeting between the two programs, with head coaches Jenkins and Charlotte Smith meeting for the third time since taking over their respective programs.
- This is also the ninth time meeting in Newark (10-9, edge Delaware), 19th time meeting in conference play (9-9 even) and the Blue Hens have won eight of the last 10 matchups.
- The last time Delaware and Elon met was in Newark where the Phoneix stunned the Blue Hens with a buzzer-beater three-pointer by Preston to walk away with 63-60 win.
- Sconiers finished with 11 points, six rebounds and two blocks while Tara Cousins chipped in 10 points, four rebounds and four assists. Preston led the way with 17 points and six rebounds in Elon's win. Doty and Evonna McGill (six assists) each poured in 13 points while Ajia James added 10 points and 10 rebounds to the mix.
- The last time Delaware won on its home court against Elon was during the 2021-22 season, where the Blue Hens captured the 65-61 win on Feb. 25, 2022.
- This will be the lone regular-season meeting between the two teams.
