Hrynashka Dubbed CAA Women’s Tennis Player of the Week

RICHMOND, Va. – University of Delaware women's tennis student-athlete Maryia Hrynashka has been named the CAA Women's Tennis Player of the Week for her performances against LIU, Monomuth, and Delaware State, the league announced Tuesday.
Hrynashka posted a perfect week for Delaware with three singles wins and three doubles wins in the Hens' 3-0 week.
In the victory over LIU, she tallied a 6-2, 6-3 win at No. 3 singles. Two days later, she went 6-2, 6-0 over Monmouth's Lana Brezanin in the top singles slot and downed Delaware State's Daria Jula in the third slot, 6-4, 6-2. Her victory over DSU was the match clinching point.
In doubles, her and teammate Julieta Honrubia went 3-0 with a 6-0 decision over LIU, 6-1 win over Monmouth, and 6-2 win over the Hornets. All three matches came at No. 2 doubles with the win over Monmouth and Delaware State being the doubles clinching match.
Hrynashka and the Hens return to action on Saturday when they play Cornell at Sea Colony Tennis Center in Bethany Beach, Delaware at 4:30 p.m.
