RICHMOND, Va. – University of Delaware women's tennis has earned the top seed in the 2024 CAA Women's Tennis Championship for the first time ever, the league announced Monday. The Blue Hens will take on the winner of eighth-seeded Hampton and ninth-seeded Hofstra on Friday at 10 a.m. in Elon, N.C. in the CAA Championthip Quarterfinals.
The Blue & Gold post an 18-6 record on the year with a perfect 5-0 mark in league play. The undefeated CAA record is just the second time the Hens have posted a clean slate, matching the 5-0 record from the 2007-08 season. The five league wins are second most behind last year's seven.
UD is fresh off its highest ranked win in program history when its downed No. 70 VCU 4-0 last Wednesday.
