Men's Lacrosse's Robinson Claimed by Boston Cannons

BOSTON – The Boston Cannons Lacrosse Club of the Premier Lacrosse League have claimed University of Delaware men's lacrosse attackman Mike Robinson, the club announced on Twitter Friday morning.
Robinson, a graduate student from Peterborough, Ont. finished his five-year career with the Blue & Gold as the program's all-time leading goal scorer with 185-career goals. In his final season with the Hens, Robinson tallied 56 points with 40 goals and 16 assists, garnering him a Second Team All-CAA selection. His 40 goals were good for the team lead and was second in the CAA in goals per game at 2.86.
The attackman finished his career as one of the most decorated players in program history. Robinson was named the 2021 CAA Rookie of the Year and is a three-time All-CAA honoree. In 2022 he received USILA All-America recognition and in 2023 was named a USILA Scholar All-American. Earlier this season, he was named to the Tewaaraton Award Watch List and was a 2024 USA Lacrosse Preseason All-America honorable mention. He finished his collegiate career third all-time on Delaware's points list with 243 and is the CAA's all-time career goals record holder. Robinson is second all-time in games played in the CAA with 66, just one behind former teammate Tye Kurtz.
This will be Robinson's second professional lacrosse deal as the Canadian was selected 28th overall in the second round of the 2023 NLL draft by the Halifax Thunderbirds.
Boston's season begins on June 1 as the Cannons head to Albany to face the New York Atlas at 3:30 p.m.
