Baseball Broke Program Record for Most Runs Scored In CAA Tournament Game in Win Over William & Mary

WILMINGTON, N.C. - The University of Delaware baseball team scored the most runs in a Coastal Athletic Association tournament game in a win against William & Mary on Friday by a score of 18-7.Â
With the win, the Blue Hens overall record is 31-25. They will play the winner of Charleston and Charleston at 3 p.m. tomorrow.

Nine Blue Hens recorded at least one hit in today's game: Bryce Greenly, Eric Ludman, Aaron Graeber, Chris Dengler, Aiden Stewart, Tyler Leach, Tyler August, Josearmando Diaz and Aidan Kane.Â

Starting on the mound was Ethan Shaub. He pitched six innings, allowed just one run off three hits, struck out five batters and walked two batters. He was credited with the win. Owen Margolis and Wyatt Nelson pitched the final three innings.Â
HOW IT HAPPENEDÂ

The Blue Hens scored 13 runs over the first two innings of the game.

In the first, Stewart drove in two runs to get the rally going. Leach and Kane both drove in a run to make it 4-0 in the first.Â

In the second, the Blue Hens scored nine runs. Aaron Graeber got it going with a sacrifice fly, Dengler drove in a run off a single, Leach scored a run off a hit by pitch, Greenly hit a triple with the bases loaded, and Ludman drove in Greenly off a single. It was 13-0 after the second.Â

UD wasn't finished, as Leach hit a solo home run in the third, and Stewart broke the record with a two-run single to make it 16-1.Â

August hit a two-run home run in the top of the seventh to make it 18-3.
