Amato, Rolka Named to CSC Academic All-District Team

NEWARK, Del. - Andrew Amato and Nate Rolka from the University of Delaware baseball team were named to the CSC Academic All-District Team on Tuesday, June 4.
To be eligible for the CSC Academic All-District Team, a player must carry a 3.50 cumulative GPA and be at least a sophomore academically. Position players must also play in at least 90 percent of their team's games or start in at least two-thirds of them to qualify. For pitchers, eligible nominees need to pitch 25-plus innings or appear in 17 games as a pitcher.
Amato appeared and started in 51 games for the Blue Hens this past spring. He hit .264 at the plate with a .406 on base percentage and an OPS of .884 while hitting nine home runs and drove in 42 runs. In the field, he had a 1.000 fielding percentage.
Rolka appeared in 15 games and made six starts for the Blue Hens. In 28.2 innings pitched, he struck out 33 batters.
