NEWARK, Del. — University of Delaware Baseball Head Coach Greg Mamula announced the hire of Jimmy Losh as the program's new volunteer assistant coach on Wednesday. He will assume the position beginning on Monday, September 15, 2025.
Losh will work primarily with the Fightin' Blue Hens outfielders while also playing a key role in the team's offensive development and recruiting efforts.
"We're excited to bring Jimmy on board," Mamula said. "I have run into Jimmy on the recruiting trail several times over the past two years and his worth ethic, passion for player development, and his desire to coach college baseball stood out to me."
Losh joins Delaware after two highly successful seasons as an assistant coach at Millersville University from 2024–25, where he helped guide the Marauders to an impressive 82-26 overall record.
In 2025, Millersville captured the PSAC Championship and earned NCAA Regional appearances in both seasons during his tenure. Under his guidance, the offense flourished, posting a .310 team batting average, an .889 OPS, 127 stolen bases, and set school records in both walks (284) and hit-by-pitches (79).
"I want to thank Coach Mamula for the opportunity to join the Delaware baseball coaching staff and to help build on the program's success," Losh said. "I'm excited to work with the current team and future Blue Hens."
As a player, Losh was a standout at Millersville, where he was a five-year starter from 2019-23. He earned all-conference and all-region honors twice and left his mark on the program's record books. He ranks in the top five all-time in hits, runs, triples, extra-base hits, total bases, walks, and games played.
