NEWARK, Del. – Delaware men's soccer earned a 2-1 win over Mount St. Mary's on Tuesday evening. The Hens now advance to a 4-1-1 record before heading into their first conference match of the season.

HEN HIGHLIGHTS

Rich Monath scored a goal in the sixth minute of play.
Sam Donnellan successfully completed a penalty kick in the second half to collect the second goal.
Adam Vik tallied three saves

HOW IT HAPPENED

The Hens were off to a strong start early on in the match thanks to Monath's goal in the first half.
Delaware entered the second half with the lead, but were soon met with a Mount St. Mary's goal in the 55th minute.
Vik held strong against the Mount's renewed energy as he posted all three saves in the second half.
Donnellan reinstated the Hens lead with a tactical penalty kick resulting from a foul drawn by Justin Ruth.

GAME NOTES

Prior to the start of the game, six seniors were celebrated and recognized for their impact on the program: Orri Thorhallsson, Einar Hardarson, Anthony Rowan, Donnellan, Vik, and student manager Colin True.
