Men's Tennis Starts Off Strong at Jefferson

PHILADELPHIA, Pa. – The University of Delaware men's tennis team picked up a win of 12-1 at its match against Jefferson on Tuesday.

ON THE RECORD
"This was a great way for us to start the fall semester especially before the big weekend that's awaiting," said head coach Marc Pibernat. "Overall it was a solid performance from the team winning all four doubles and eight singles out of nine. Some of the guys got tested in their matches playing third sets and having to dig for the win which is exactly what we were looking for with this match. A huge shoutout to Aristotelis Bezianis, Ram Mude and Piotr Siekanowicz for their first win as Blue Hens! We will go back to work tomorrow morning to prepare for our Blue Hen Invitational that we will host this weekend on our campus."

HEN HIGHLIGHTS

All four doubles courts ended in straight sets.
Alexandre Gluck, Siekanowicz, Tobey Lock, Mude, Bezianis, and Mason Robins all claimed a two-set win in their singles matches.
Itamar Tapiro and Siekanowicz both made their collegiate tennis debut.
