van Eijck Tabbed CAA Defensive Player of the Week

RICHMOND, Va. – After a pair of clean sheets against Towson and American, University of Delaware field hockey goalkeeper Cecile van Eijck has been named the CAA Defensive Player of the Week, the league announced Monday.
In the 2-0 week for the Blue Hens, van Eijck tallied two wins with a combined eight saves with one against Towson and seven against American.
Delaware returns to action on Friday at Rullo Stadium for a 4 p.m. game against Hofstra.
