NEW YORK. – University of Delaware track & field team competed at the NYC Gotham Cup on Friday, January 17.

RESULTS

The following athletes were the top finishers in their respective events:

Emarie Jackson won the women's shot put with a throw of 14.95 meters. The throw ranks second in program history and is a freshman record. Olamide Ayeni also finished third in the event at 13.32
Danielle Eshelman was second in the 5,000 meter run (18:34.01)
Sara Manson was fourth in the 60 meter hurdles finals (9.08)
Libby Neiburg was fourth in the high jump (1.60 meters)
Ella Peterson was fifth in the mile (5:13.08)
Mackenzie Stephens was sixth in the weight throw (14.69 meters)
Chali Baumann was sixth in the long jump (5.20 meters)
Hannah Smalley was sixth in the 800 meter run (2:21.38)
Madison Gee was sixth in the triple jump (11.32 meters)
Marissa Dailey was sixth in the 3000 meter run (10:18.28)
Lauren Leath was seventh in the 1,000 meter run (3:03.08)
Jacquelyn Rolle was ninth in the 200 meter dash (25.91)
Mackenzie Owens in the 400 meter dash (1:03.42)

The Blue Hens are back on the track next weekend at the Dr. Sanders Invitational, hosted by Columbia in New York, on Friday and Saturday January 24 and 25.
