PROVO, Utah – University of Delaware men's basketball tested seventh-ranked BYU Tuesday night, ultimately falling 85-68. The Fightin' Blue Hens dip to 0-3 on the campaign, while the Cougars advance to 3-0.

HEN HIGHLIGHTS

Delaware posted a season-low five turnovers to win the margin +2.
UD hit a season-high 11 three pointers on 11-of-24 shooting.
The Blue & Gold shot a season-best 43.1 percent overall and 45.5 percent from long range.
Christian Bliss scored a career-best 18 points and added six boards and five assists.
Macon Emory also scored a career-high 18 points while leading the team with seven rebounds.
Jameel Brown (11) and Tyler Houser (10) rounded out the double-figure scorers.

HOW IT HAPPENED

Delaware jumped out to a 10-0 lead before the ranked Cougars found the bottom of the net. The Hens would go up by as many as 13 at 17-4 before the hosts slowly battled back. BYU closed the gap heading into the locker room after a 13-6 run over the final 4:02 for a 37-34 margin at the half. The lead is the first for Delaware at the half against a nationally ranked team since at least 2000 over 14 games during that stretch.
The Cougars took a 48-46 lead with 14:43 left and didn't look back. BYU went up by as many as 23 down the stretch before ultimately finishing with the 85-68 win.

GAME NOTES

Jayden Taylor made his first career start.
Bliss has handed out at least five assists and scored at least 13 points in every game this season.
Emory has scored at least 11 points in each game this year.
Houser has reached double figures in all three games.
UD dips to 0-38 all-time against ranked opponents.
