NEWARK, Del. – University of Delaware softball announced the addition of three signees on Wednesday as part of National Signing Day. The three student-athletes will join the Blue Hens as members of the Delaware Class of 2030.
We're excited to welcome our early signees — talented, athletic players who can make an immediate impact, head coach Jen Steele said. To climb to the top of Conference USA, this is exactly the type of talent we need.
Bayli Glanden
Infield
Harrington, Del. / Lake Forest High School
Bayli brings an explosive left-handed bat and a next-level approach at the plate. Her intent and power are exceptional for a high school athlete. Despite interest from numerous Power Four programs, she chose to stay in Delaware and compete for her home state — a decision that makes us incredibly proud and excited for her future as a Blue Hen.
A two-year captain as a junior and senior at Lake Forest High School, Glanden was the recipient of the 2024 Spartan Award and helped lead her team to a Henlopen Conference title and a quarterfinal appearance in the state playoffs. At the club level, she has been a member of Delaware Express since 2018 and helped the team win USSSA National Championships in both 2021 and 2022, earning Tournament MVP honors in 2022. Academically, she is a Scholar-Athlete honoree from 2022–2025. Bayli's sister, Brooke, played for Delaware from 2019-2022 and ranks top-five in program history in career home runs, RBIs, slugging percentage, OPS, and extra base hits. She is planning to major in secondary education.
Jordyn Henderson
Outfield
Sherwood, Ore. / Sherwood High School
Jordyn is an athletic outfielder who will make an immediate contribution. She has faced some of the top competition in the country and has proven she can handle elite pitching. We expect her to compete right away as a freshman and bring her dynamic skills to the field.
At Sherwood High School, Henderson earned All-State honors in 2025, was a two-time All-League selection in 2024 and 2025, and received All-League Honorable Mention in 2023. She helped lead Sherwood to the 2025 state championship. Henderson also competes for the Northwest Bullets, where she played in the IDT All-Star Game and helped her team finish in the top 10 at both IDT and PGF Nationals. Academically, she has earned Academic Excellence and is involved with the Women Empowerment Club, Donuts with Jesus Club, and Younglife. Henderson will be Delaware Softball's first-ever player who hails from the state of Oregon.
Grace Ely
Infield
Monroe, Conn. / Masuk High School
Grace is a talented, all-around infielder who does everything well. She's athletic, versatile, and brings a mature offensive approach — combining consistency at the plate with real power potential. A proven winner, she's earned three straight high school state championships and is chasing her fourth this season. Her championship mindset and skill set will make an immediate impact, and we anticipate she'll be in the mix for a starting role right away.
Ely earned Connecticut All-State honors in both 2024 and 2025 and is a three-time SWC All-Conference selection (2023–2025). She has helped Masuk capture three consecutive state championships (2023, 2024, 2025) and was also named to the GametimeCT All-State Team and as a CIAC All-Academic honoree. She also competes with Rhode Island Thunder National, where she has been a starter from 2023–2025 and served as a captain in 2025. She was also ranked 62nd in the 2026 Line Drive Hot 100 Player Rankings. Academically, she is a member of the National Business Honor Society and the National Spanish Honor Society, and is a multi-year CIAC All-Academic selection. She is also involved with Clean Eatz.
