HOW IT HAPPENED
- Delaware opened the game with the first five points before the Bison responded with an 8-0 run over 2:58 to take an 8-5 lead into the first media stoppage at 15:57. Bucknell pushed the margin to 16-8 before the teams traded the next four points for an 18-10 lead for the home team at the under-12 stoppage. After Bucknell widened the gap to 11 at 29-18, UD ripped off a 5-0 spurt over 44 seconds to close it to 29-23 to force a timeout with 4:00 on the clock. The teams traded the final 10 points of the half for a 34-28 score at the break.
- The under-16 media timeout occurred after the teams swapped the first 14 points of the second stanza. Five unanswered from the Hens made it a one-point game at 41-40 with 14:39 left. The Bison answered with a 7-2 advantage over 1:54 to push the gap back to six at 48-42. The home team continued to pour it on for its largest lead of the game at 65-49 before the Hens took an 11-0 run over 1:51 to close it to 65-60 at the Bucknell timeout at 4:25. UD would make it a one-score game after a Brown three pointer to make it 67-65. An 11-5 advantage for the home team the rest of the way made the deficit too much to overcome.
