Men's Soccer Has Four Named All-ECAC

DANBURY, CONN. - Marius Stenner, Rich Monath, Mikey Johnson, and JoJo Elliott Jr. of the University of Delaware men's soccer program have been named to the All-Eastern College Athletic Conference (ECAC) teams, the organization announced Friday.
Stenner and Monath earned first team honors. Johnson and Elliott Jr. were named second team.Â
Stenner recorded 11 goals and nine assists for 31 points on 17 games and 16 starts this season. He was named to First Team All-Summit League, earned Peak Offensive Performer of the Week three times this season, and CSC Academic All-District. He was ranked the No. 11 player in the nation on TopDrawerSoccer's Midseason Top 100 Watch List. Stenner lead the Summit League in shots, shots on goal, assists, and points. His .65 goals per game is tied for 17th in the nation with teammate Johnson. Stenner also broke the individual program record for single-game assists with four against Neumann.
Monath recorded 12 goals and two assists for 26 points on 17 appearances and 16 starts. He was named the Summit League Midfielder of the Year. Monath lead the Summit League in goals, game-winning goals and was second in points. He also was named the Peak Offensive Performer of the Week this season and named to the CSC Academic All-District team. Monath ranks ninth in the NCAA in goals per game (0.71).
Johnson tallied 11 goals, three assists for 25 points, on 17 games and 16 starts. He was named Second Team All-Summit League. Johnson and Monath also became the first teammates to record hat tricks in the same game in Summit League history. His .65 goals per game is tied for 17th in the nation with teammate Stenner.Â
Elliott Jr. recorded 49 saves, and nine shutouts in his 1,440 minutes played across 16 games. His save percentage (0.845) and goals against average (0.69) led the Summit League. The freshman's goals against average broke the program record and his nine clean sheets is first in the league, tied for ninth in the nation, and ties the individual single-season program record. He was ranked the No. 5 freshman in the nation on TopDrawerSoccer's Midseason Freshman Watch List. Elliott Jr. was named Second Team All-Summit League as well as to the newcomer team, and earned Summit League Defensive Performer of the Week three times this season. Elliott Jr. also contributed to the team allowing the least amount of goals in a single season in program history with 11.Â
