Leath Sets Program Record in the 600-Meters at Penn Opener

PHILADELPHIA -Â Lauren Leath from the University of Delaware track & field team broke the program record in the 600-meters at the Penn Opener on Saturday.Â
Leath's time of 1:32.46 breaks a six-year-old record set by Carly Pettipaw (1:32.59) back in 2019. Leath placed second overall in the event.
RESULTS
- Morgan Mims' time of 39.84 in the 300-meters ranks third all-time. She finished sixth overall. Additionally, Jahzara Emeli (41.00) and Marleigh Lucas (41.38) rank seventh and ninth all-time in the 300-meters.
- Maya Giordano set a new personal record, and finished fourth, in the weight throw (16.77 meters). The throw ranks sixth in program history.
- Taylor Stone's jump of 1.67 meters ranks 5th all-time. She set the mark in the heptathlon.Â
- Olamide Ayeni finished seventh in the women's shot put (12.78 meters).
- Sara Manson (3105 points) and Isabelle Kapor (3087 points) finished sixth and seventh in the heptathlon. Kapor's score ranks eighth in program history.
- Rachel Kuehl finished eighth in the long jump at 5.61 meters. The jump ranks ninth in program history. She was also the top finisher in the high jump (1.57 meters).
- Mason was the top finisher in the 60-hurdles (9.23 seconds).
- Sara Penuela was the top finisher in the 60-meters dash (7.80 seconds).
- Jordan Blanck was the top performer in the 1,000-meters (3:03.81).Â
