Track & Field Opens New Year at Penn Select

PHILADELPHIA - The University of Delaware track & field team kicked off the new year at the Penn Select meet, hosted by the University of Penn, on Saturday.

RESULTS

In the weight throw, Sophia Axelrod (15.10 meters) and Maya Giordano (14.99 meters) earned top 10 finishes, while Olamide Ayeni set a new personal best in the event (14.03 meters).
Ayeni also finished fourth in the shot put at 13.30 meters.
