Softball Announces Cancellation of JMU Lakeside Book Company Invitational This Weekend

NEWARK, Del. - University of Delaware softball's upcoming non-conference games against James Madison, Sant Francis, and Buffalo, originally scheduled for Friday, Saturday, and Sunday, have been cancelled due to inclement weather.Â
Delaware is next scheduled to compete at the Mizuno Classic against Virginia, Connecticut, Longwood, and Penn. next weekend before playing at home for the first time this season on Feb. 27. UD is coming off an opening weekend where they recorded wins over Georgia Southern and nationally ranked Michigan in Tampa, Fla. - its first nationally ranked win in program history. Billie Kerwood and Sydney Shaffer each earned CAA weekly awards.

Delaware Softball will celebrate its 50th season as a program during the 2025 season, as presented by Delaware State Parks. Season and single game tickets for the 2025 season are on sale now. The upcoming season will feature cutting-edge renovations, including a state-of-the-art Daktronics videoboard, turf playing surface, LED lighting, and more. Season tickets are now 50% off the single-game rate—just $94 for access to the entire season with general admission seating.
