NEWARK, Del. – Injuries robbed us of an All-Acchione matchup in Week 10 of the HeNLL, but there were plenty of moments to celebrate for former Blue Hens, including a first-career goal.
Mike Robinson (2020-24) and his Halifax Thunderbirds took down Owen Grant (2019-23) and the Vancouver Warriors, 10-9 on Friday night. Robinson tallied three points (one goal, two assists) to go with seven loose balls, while Grant scooped eight loose balls, blocked two shots, and caused one turnover.
Reed Kurtz (2020-24) scored his first-career goal in the Ottawa Black Bears' 11-8 loss to Curtis Dickson (2007-10) and the Calgary Roughnecks on Friday. In addition to his goal, Kurtz added one assist for two total points and nine loose balls, while Dickson posted five points (two goals, three assists).
Tye Kurtz (2019-23) and the Albany FireWolves fell to the Buffalo Bandits, 16-10 on Saturday. Kurtz recorded four points (two goals, two assists) and five loose balls.
Kevin Lynch (2020-23), a member of the Philadelphia Wings' Practice Player List, watched his team fall to the Rochester Knighthawks, 15-12 on Saturday. Brett Manney (2004-08) is a member of the Philadelphia Wings' coaching staff, serving as the Head of Youth Development.
Matt Acchione (2021-24) and his Saskatchewan Rush took down his brother's San Diego Seals, 12-8 on Saturday. Matt Acchione nabbed two loose balls in the win, while Cam Acchione (2021-24) and Jake Govett (2019-22) remain off the Seals' active roster, who are on the Physically Unable to Perform List and Practice Player List, respectively. Jordan Hall (2003-07) is a member of the San Diego Seals' coaching staff, serving as the Offensive Coordinator and Director of Player Personnel.
