Men’s Basketball Falls in Regular Season Finale at UNCW; Will Play No. 13 Stony Brook in CAA Championship First Round

WILMINGTON, N.C. – University of Delaware men's basketball fell in the regular season finale Saturday night against UNCW, 88-58. The Blue Hens dip to 12-19, 5-13 CAA, while the Seahawks advance to 24-7, 14-4 CAA.

UD will be the No. 12 seed in the 2025 Jersey Mike's CAA Men's Basketball Championship and take on No. 13 Stony Brook on Friday, March 7 at 2 p.m. from CareFirst Arena in Washington, D.C.

HEN HIGHLIGHTS

John Camden led all Hens with 18 points and seven rebounds.
Cavan Reilly was the only other player in double figures with 12 points.
Macon Emory tied his career mark of three blocks.

HOW IT HAPPENED

After the first five points of the game came from UNCW, Delaware responded using a 6-0 run over 42 seconds on back-to-back threes to take an 11-9 lead heading into the first media stoppage. It was a back-and-forth affair over most of the first half until the Seahawks took their own 6-0 run over 1:08 to force a Martin Ingelsby timeout with the home team ahead 32-26 with 4:24 on the clock. UNCW would finish the first half on an 18-2 margin overall to take a 44-28 lead into the break.
The Hens cut into the deficit briefly to begin the second stanza, but after pulling it within 12, it was all Seahawks the rest of the way.

Delaware dips to 0-15 when trailing at the half this season.
