Men’s Basketball Cinderella Run Comes to an End in CAA Championship Game

WASHINGTON, D.C. – University of Delaware's men's basketball's Cinderella run came to an end in the CAA Championship game with a 76-72 loss to UNCW. The Blue Hens ended the season at 16-20 and were the first team in CAA history to win four games in the conference tournament. John Camden, Niels Lane, and Izaiah Pasha were named to the All-Tournament Team.

- Pasha posted a game-high 21 points on 8-of-15 shooting to go with eight rebounds and seven assists.
- Lane tallied 20 points with four boards.
- Camden scored 12 points and grabbed eight rebounds.
- Cavan Reilly joined the double-digit scorers with 13 points.
- The Blue Hens trailed 20-10 with 8:06 to play in the first half, following a quick 6-0 run by UNCW. After falling behind by 15, Delaware scored seven unanswered in 48 seconds to bring the game back to single digits. The UD run rose to 14-2 over 3:24 tp cut the game to 31-28. The Seahawks took a 36-28 lead into the locker room.
- Camden hit a three with 15:40 on the clock to give the Hens a 41-40 lead, their first since being up 5-4. Camden's three was part of coinciding 7-0 (1:38) and 11-1 (3:26) runs for the Hens early in the second half. In what was a back-and-forth second half, the score sat at 65-64 in favor of UNCW with 3:51 remaining, despite the Hens holding the Seahawks scoreless over 2:22. Down five with 56 seconds to go, Camden hit a fade away three in the corner to cut it to a two-point deficit. Pasha swished a shot from beyond the arc to once again cut the UCNW lead to two at 74-72 with eight ticks remaining on the clock. The Seahawks went to the line with 6.4 seconds left and knocked down a pair of free throws to put the game out of reach.
- Delaware drops to 6-3 in conference championship games.
- Martin Ingelsby leaves the CAA tied for the fifth-most wins in CAA Tournament history with Lefty Driesell and Blaine Taylor at 13.
Delaware will play its inaugural season in Conference USA in 2025-26.
