Marose Receives CAA Pitcher of the Week Honors

RICHMOND, Va. – Senior pitcher Doug Marose from the University of Delaware baseball team was awarded the Coastal Athletic Association's pitcher of the week honors, the league announced on Monday.
Marose allowed just one hit over 5.0 scoreless innings and struck out four in Delaware's 10-0 win over Siena last Friday. After giving up a double to the second batter of the game, the right-hander retired the next 14 batters he faced. Marose is 1-0 with a 3.95 ERA for the season.
The senior from Laytonsville, Md. is the first Blue Hen to receive the CAA pitcher of the week honors since Zach Klapak did back in 2022.
UD has earned the conference's player of the week honors in back-to-back weeks with Rory Finn receiving rookie of the week.
CAA play begins this weekend as the Blue Hens prepare for a weekend series against Stony Brook at Bob Hannah Stadium from March 21-23. Before that, the Blue Hens travel to Philadelphia for a non-conference midweek matchup against St. Joe's
