Eight Athletes From Swimming & Diving Receive College Sports Communicators Academic All-District Honors

NEWARK, Del. – The University of Delaware men's and women's swimming & diving team had eight student-athletes recognized on the 2025 College Sports Communicators (CSC) Academic All-District® Team, announced by the organization on Tuesday.
To be eligible, student-athletes must be a sophomore academically and athletically, have a cumulative GPA of 3.5 or higher, competed in at least five of the team's regular season dual meets, or finished top eight in their respective conference championships.
Keira Allison, Cristin Earley, Alexandra Misikova, Peyton Rautzhan were recognized from the women's team, and Gavin Currie, Matvei Namakonov, Luke Rautzhan and Toni Sabev were recognized on the men's team.
Allison is a nursing major, Earley is a kinesiology major, Misikova is a biological sciences major and Rautzhan is a international business studies major.
Allison, Earley and Misikova all participated in the CAA Championships. Allison placed fifth in the 3-meter dive and seventh in the 1-meter dive. Earley set a personal best time of 54.79 in the 100 back. Misikova set a season best in the 200 free (1:53.74), 100 fly (54.94) and 200 fly (2:03.65). In the regular season, Rautzhan set a personal best in the 50 free (23.89) and 100 free (52.28)
Currie is a Business Analytics, Finance major, Namakonov is a Physics major, Rautzhan is a Marketing major, and Sabev is a Management Info Systems major.
The four all earned top three finishes at the CAA Championships. Individually, Sabev won the 100 breast, Namakonov won the 50 free and 100 free. Currie placed second in the 200 back, and Rautzhan earned a bronze medal as a member of the 400-freestyle relay.
