NEWARK, Del. – With a month left in the HeNLL regular season, the playoff push is on for the former Blue Hens. Every team that has a Delaware player on it is still alive in the hunt for the postseason.
Reed Kurtz (2020-24) and the Ottawa Black Bears beat Kevin Lynch (2020-23) and the Philadelphia Wings, 13-5, on Friday. Kurtz scooped three loose balls and blocked a shot. Lynch is a member of the Wings' Practice Player List. Brett Manney (2004-08) is a member of the Philadelphia Wings' staff, serving as the Head of Youth Development.
Tye Kurtz (2019-23) and the Albany FireWolves outlasted the Buffalo Bandits, 11-10, in overtime on Saturday. Kurtz recorded six points (two goals, four assists) and five loose balls.
Jake Govett (2019-22) and the San Diego Seals fell to the Rochester Knighthawks, 14-13, on Saturday. Govett posted a hat-trick to go with three loose balls. Cam Acchione (2021-24) remains off the Seals' active roster on the Physically Unable to Perform List. Jordan Hall (2003-07) is a member of the San Diego Seals' coaching staff, serving as the Offensive Coordinator and Director of Player Personnel.
Owen Grant (2019-23) and the Vancouver Warriors defeated the Buffalo Bandits, 13-12, on Saturday. Grant tallied one assist, five loose balls, and a caused turnover.
Matt Acchione (2021-24) watched as his Saskatchewan Rush defeated the Colorado Mammoth, 17-12, on Saturday. Acchione remains on injured reserve for the Rush.
Mike Robinson (2020-24) and the Halifax Thunderbirds narrowly fell to the Georgia Swarm, 13-12, in overtime on Sunday. Robinson assisted on three goals to go with five loose balls.
