Nerpin Finishes Third, Men’s Golf Places Seventh at CAA Championship

SWAINTON, N.J. – The University of Delaware men's golf team concluded the 2024-25 season on Tuesday with a seventh-place showing at the 2025 CAA Championship. The Blue Hens carded a three-day score of 41-over par at the par-72, 7,274-yard Union League National Golf Course.
Casper Nerpin finished third overall at 1-over par and was named to the CAA All-Tournament Team. It marks UD's highest individual finish since 2012 when Greg Matthias claimed medalist honors.

HOW IT HAPPENED
- Delaware was tied for the team lead after 18 holes after turning in a team score of 4-over par 292 on Sunday. The Blue Hens totaled 34 birdies and two eagles over the three rounds.
- Nerpin started the tournament with a 4-under par 68 after carding six birdies on Friday. He sat in second place after each of the first two days before finishing third overall. He recorded 12 birdies over the 54 holes.
- Homer shot an even-par 72 on Friday to sit in the top 10 in the standings. He finished with seven total birdies.
- Zubov bounced back from two tough rounds with a 2-over par 74 on Sunday when he carded four of his nine total birdies.
UP NEXT
The Blue Hens wrapped up a strong 2024-25 season that saw them finish in the top five in eight of the team's 10 tournaments. Delaware had three runner-up finishes as a team and won the Rutherford Intercollegiate this spring for the programs first tournament title since the 2021-22 season. Including Nerpin's third-place finish this week, the Blue Hens had 12 individual top-10 finishes.
