NEWARK, Del. – The University of Delaware baseball team finished its three-game series against Hofstra with a 16-6 win in seven innings on Sunday at Bob Hannah Stadium.

With the win, the Blue Hens overall record improves to 24-18 overall and 10-8 in CAA play.

HEN HIGHLIGHTS

Andrew Amato led the way for the Blue Hens offensively, going 3-for-3 with two home runs and five RBI's. Amato, along with LT Cockrill (3-for-4, 2 2B, 2 RBI) and Tanner Donati (3-for-4, HR, 2 RBI) had three hits on the day.
Jonah Richardson, Andrew Callaway, Evan Lewis and Jake Pollaro pitched for the Blue Hens today. Callaway earned the win after pitching in four innings, allowed just one earned run off one hit, and struck out five batters. He is now 3-1 on the season.

HOW IT HAPPENED

After the Pride took a 3-0 lead in the first, the Blue Hens rallied back to score all 16 of their runs over the next four innings.
In the second, Jackson Tyer scored Amato on a ground out and Donati tied the game with a two-run home run.
In the third, Amato and Aaron Graeber hit solo home runs and Cockrill scored off a wild pitch.
In the fourth, Cockrill and Aiden Stewart drove in runs off singles, and Amato hit his second home run of the game, driving in three runs.
In the fifth, the Blue Hens drove in runs off doubles from Cockrill, Evan Bouldin and Amato.
