Baseball Closes 2025 Campaign With Win Over Campbell

The Blue Hens concluded the regular season with an overall record of 28-25 and 12-15 in Coastal Athletic Association play.
HEN HIGHLIGHTS
- Andrew Amato led the way on offense with a 3-for-3 day with a home run, a double and a walk.
- Ethan Shaub started on the mound for the Blue Hens. He pitched 1 inning, allowed no runs and struck out one batter. In relief was Jonah Richardson, Andrew Callaway, Dylan Bryan, and Justin Needles. Richardson was credited with the win after pitching four hitless innings and struck out three batters and is 3-2. Justin Needles was credited with his first save.
HOW IT HAPPENED
- Amato opened the game with a solo home run.
- Ayden Frey and Aiden Stewart both drove in a run off single in the fourth and fifth innings.
- Tanner Donati extended the Blue Hens lead to 4-0 with a solo home run to center field.
- UD fended off a three run rally in the top of the eighth to keep the lead at 4-3.
- Matthew Minckler gave the Blue Hens an insurance run with an RBI single in the eighth, making it 5-3.
