NEWARK, Del. – University of Delaware men's golf junior Casper Nerpin has been named to the All-CAA Second Team, as announced by the league office on Friday. This is Nerpin's second CAA postseason honor as he was named the CAA Rookie of the Year following the 2022-23 season. The All-CAA Teams were selected by way of a vote from the conference's head coaches.
Nerpin had a strong junior campaign, playing in all 28 rounds and leading the Blue Hens with a 72.96 stroke average. He ranked second on the team with six rounds under par, including five this spring when he averaged 71.57 strokes in 14 rounds.
The Stockholm, Sweden native was named the CAA Men's Golfer of the Week on April 9 after claiming runner-up honors at the Testudo Cup, hosted by the University of Maryland. He carded rounds of 4-under 68 and 2-under 70 over the final 36 holes to finish at 5-under par. Nerpin capped his season with a third-place finish at the CAA Championship, Delaware's highest individual placing since 2012. He shot a 4-under par 68 in the opening round and finished at 1-over par for the tournament.
The Blue Hens wrapped up a strong 2024-25 season that saw them finish in the top five in eight of the team's 10 tournaments. Delaware had three runner-up finishes as a team and won the Rutherford Intercollegiate this spring for the program's first tournament title since the 2021-22 season. The Blue Hens had 12 individual top-10 finishes.
