Ayeni, Jackson to Compete in the 2025 USATF U20 Championships

EUGENE, Ore. - The University of Delaware track & field team will be represented at the 2024 USA Track & Field (USATF) U20 Championships by freshman throwers Olamide Ayeni and Emarie Jackson this week.
The pair head to the Track Capital of the World in Eugene, Ore. for the two-day championships starting on Thursday, June 19 where Ayeni will compete in the discus throw at 2:30 p.m. The following day, Jackson will compete in the shot put at 6 p.m.
Last year, middle distance athlete Kadence Dumas competed in the 800-meters at the U20 Championships. In addition, Nina Sgambelluri competed at the 2023 Cross Country Championships.
Ayeni and Jackson had an historic first season with the Blue Hens. Ayeni placed first overall in the CAA Championships in the discus throw, and Jackson broke the program record in the shot put. The two athletes qualified and competed in the first round of the NCAA Championships back on May 28-31.
