Men's Soccer Opens 2025 Season with Win Over Le Moyne

NEWARK, Del. – The University of Delaware men's soccer team kicks off its 2025 season by defeating Le Moyne by a score of 2-0 on Thursday.
With the win, the Fightin' Blue Hens overall record becomes 1-0-0.
"It's always nice to get the first one out of the way with a result and a clean sheet," head coach Tommy McMenemy said. "I didn't feel it was our sharpest night on the ball, but that's to be expected to a degree this early on. Our defensive mentality was superb though, and we did a great job protecting JoJo in goal by limiting them to just one shot on target for a routine save. We had 4 freshmen in the starting line-up today, and their work rate, attitude and quality were excellent - so all in all a satisfying start."
