Cross Country Competed at Southern Showcase

HUNTSVILLE, Ala. – The University of Delaware cross country team competed in its second race of the season, the Southern Showcase on Friday.
The meet was hosted by Jacksonville State, a Conference USA foe that will host the conference championship meet on November 1.
The Fightin' Blue Hens finished 15th out of 52 teams.

The Blue Hens host the Blue Hen Invitational at White Clay Creek on Friday, September 19 at 9 a.m.

RESULTS
- Erin McGoey led the way for the Blue Hens with a 56th place finish at 17:46.60.
- Kadence Dumas finished behind McGoey in 62nd place at 17:49.50, along with Leah Clear in 95th place at 18:09.20
- Rounding out the top five for the Blue Hens was Tiffany Herrera with a time of 18:16.00, and Lauren Thomas in 126th place at 18:25.92.
- Additionally, Kamila Soja (18:34.10, 134th place) Gabby Thiry (18:38.70, 158th place), Delana Einreinhofer (19:08.30, 194th place), Libby DeMichele (19:10.50) and Cassidy Donovan (19:17.20) also competed
MEET NOTES
- The Blue Hens average 5K time of 18:09.00 was the fastest in team 5K time in program history.
