Women's Soccer Ranked Third In Regional Poll

NEWARK, Del. – For the second week in a row, the University of Delaware women's soccer program is ranked in the south region of the United Soccer Coaches Association, the league announced on Tuesday.
The Fightin' Blue Hens enter this week's poll ranked third, moving up one spot from last week.
Delaware is coming off a dramatic 1-0 win over William & Mary on Friday at Grant Stadium to close non-conference play. Maggie Groh scored the game-winning goal with less than five minutes remaining in the second half.
The Blue Hens are off to their best start in program history at 7-0-2 under third-year head coach Kelly Lawrence. They made their first ever appearance in the regional rankings last week.
UD is joined by Conference USA foe Liberty (No. 4), and FIU (No. 9) in the regional poll. Click here to view the national and regional poll.

CUSA play begins as the Blue Hens welcome FIU to Grant Stadium on Sunday, September 21 at noon.
