Men's Soccer Ties with George Washington

WASHINGTON, D.C. – The University of Delaware men's soccer team tied with George Washington 1-1 on the road on Tuesday afternoon.
With the draw, the Fightin' Blue Hens overall record becomes 7-0-1.
HEN HIGHLIGHTS
- Marius Stenner scored for the hens.
- This was Stenner's 17th career goal.
- Stenner's goal was assisted by Rich Monath and Joe Richards.
- Elliott collected his eight career start with one save on the day.
HOW IT HAPPENED
- In the 39th minute of the game, Stenner scored to put the Hens ahead 1-0.
- Just over a minute later, George Washington scored off of a penalty kick.
- Scoring remained 0-0 in the second half to end the match in a draw.
GAME NOTES
- With this draw, the Blue Hens remain one of just nine teams in the nation without a loss.
UP NEXT
The men's soccer program opened Summit League play as they host UMass for a 6 pm game on Saturday, September 237.
