NEWARK, Del. – University of Delaware men's basketball couldn't sustain a comeback Saturday afternoon against New Mexico State, falling 97-68. The Fightin' Blue Hens drop to 5-13, 1-6 CUSA, while the Aggies improve to 10-7, 3-4 CUSA.

HEN HIGHLIGHTS

Tyler Houser registered his second 20+ point performance this season with a season-high 25 points. He's now recorded six-consecutive games in double figures.
Christian Bliss finished in double figures for the 16^th time this season with 19 points.
Justyn Fernandez scored 14 points to round out the double-figure scorers.

HOW IT HAPPENED

The visitors took an 8-2 lead before UD rallied back to make it a 10-7 game at the first media stoppage with 15:30 on the clock. New Mexico State held a 19-7 margin heading into the under-eight break to widen the gap to 29-14. The Aggies' lead remained at 15 with a 40-25 score at the final break of the half at 3:27. The period ended with New Mexico State up 49-30.
Delaware nearly cut the lead in half with a 9-0 run over 2:26 in the opening minutes of the second half to adjust the deficit to 51-41 with 15:38 left. As part of the run, the Blue & Gold held NMSU scoreless for 3:36 heading into the timeout. The Aggies answered and controlled play the rest of the way.
