Track & Field Competed at Quaker Invite

PHILADELPHIA -Â The University of Delaware Fightin' Blue Hens track & field team returned to Philadelphia and competed at the Quaker Invite, hosted by the University of Pennsylvania on Saturday.
RESULTS
- Lauren Leath finished fifth in the 200 meters at 24.89 seconds. The time is a new personal best and ranks eighth in program history.
- Kadence Dumas placed seventh overall in the mile run with a time of 4:56.28. Her time ranks ninth overall in program history.
- Annika Leineweber finished fifth in the 3,000-meters at 10:11.50.
- Chali Baumann was fifth overall in the women's long jump at 5.47 meters.
- Olamide Ayeni finished sixth overall in the shot put with a season best throw of 13.85 meters.
- The 4-by-400 meter relay team of Morgan Mims, Jahzara Emeli, Jordan Blanck and Leath finished seventh at 3:51.92.
- Sophia Axelrod Racplaced eighth overall win the weight throw at 15.64 meters.
- Rachel Kuehl was 10th in the high jump at 1.57 meters.
- The top Blue Hens finishers in the 60-meter hurdles was Isabella Kapoor (9.19 seconds, Sara Penuela in the 60-meters (7.88 seconds), Mackenzie Owens in the 400-meters at 1:04.28, Taylor Stone in the 500-meters (1:27.01).
UP NEXT
The Blue Hens travel to Lynchburg, Virginia to compete in the Liberty Open from January 23-24. Liberty will also host the Conference USA Championships from February 27-28.
