NEWARK, Del. – University of Delaware Head Women's Soccer Coach Kelly Larence announced the addition of transfer defender Julia Hahn on February 10.
Julia was a known quantity for us, having competed against her for two consecutive seasons at Drexel, Lawrence said. Each year, we've been intentional about adding experienced players through the transfer portal, and Julia brings exactly that. We're excited about who she is as a person first and foremost, and we look forward to the impact she'll have both on and off the field. Like everyone in our program, Julia will earn every opportunity, and she's joining a team that takes great pride with helping new Blue Hens transition. We believe she will contribute on both sides of the ball and fit seamlessly into our Blue Hen style of play.
Hahn played two seasons with Drexel prior to committing to UD. She appeared in 28 games and made 25 starts on the Dragons backline, with over 2200 minutes of field action. The Dragons had 10 defensive shutouts during her two seasons.
She graduated from Upper Arlington High School in Columbus Ohio. She was an All-OCC Special Mention, OCC Conference and district champion senior year. Off the field, she was a member of the National Honors Society two years and a student council leader.
