NEWARK, Del. -Evan Bouldin collected his 200th career hit as the University of Delaware baseball program picked up its first win of the season against La Salle by a score of 6-4 on Tuesday at Bob Hannah Stadium.

With the win, the Fightin' Blue Hens overall record is 1-3.

HEN HIGHLIGHTS

Bouldin was the lone Blue Hen with multiple hits, going 2-for-4 on the day with a home run and two RBIs.
Sal Mineo, LT Cockrill, Jeremy Wolf, Noah Burroughs and Matthew Minckler also notched hits on the day.
Starting on the mound was Elias Conway. He pitched three innings, allowed two runs (zero earned runs), and struck out four batters. Jackson Hulcher pitched the final three innings, and was the winning pitcher. He collected seven strikeouts and boasts a 1-0 record.

HOW IT HAPPENED

Bouldin opened up the game with a two-run home run in the bottom of the first to give UD an early lead. The home run would be the senior's 200^th hit in his collegiate career.
After the Explorers took a 4-2 lead in the top of the sixth, Bouldin scored from third off a failed pickoff attempt by the pitcher to cut the lead down to one run.
Minckler tied the game with a bunt single to the pitcher in the seventh, and then took the lead thanks to a Explorers fielding error and a pitcher balk, both of which were with the bases loaded.

UP NEXT
The Blue Hens travel to Starksville, Mississippi for a three-game series against Mississippi State from Feb. 20-22.
