MURFREESBORO, TENN. - The University of Delaware men's basketball team fell to Conference USA opponent Middle Tennessee, 78-66, on the road Saturday. The Fighin' Blue Hens move to 9-18 overall and 5-11 in CUSA action, while the Blue Raiders improve to 13-14, 7-9 CUSA.

HEN HIGHLIGHTS

Justyn Fernandez recorded his seventh 20-plus-point game of the season as he led the team with 22 points.
Christian Bliss posted a 21-point game, and shot perfect from the free throw line (7-of-7) for the 11th time this season.

HOW IT HAPPENED

Delaware's Houston Emory won the opening tip and scored the first basket of the game which turned into a 4-0 lead for the Hens. Scoring remained fairly even until Middle Tennessee went on an 11-0 run to approach the under-four timeout. UD outscored MTSU 8-3 for the remainder of the half to cut the Blue Raiders' lead to 31-20 heading into the locker room.
Middle Tennessee opened the second half with a layup. Delaware would pull within 10 points four separate times, but couldn't cut into the deficit any further with scoring nearly even in the half.
