Men's Swimming & Diving Finishes Third in 2026 ASUN Swimming & Diving Championships

ORLANDO, Fla. – University of Delaware men's swimming & diving placed third in the 2026 ASUN Swimming & Diving Championships.
After four days of competition, the Fightin' Blue Hens finished with 762 points.
The Hens are sending Matvei Namakonov (100-breast) and Kade Snyder (100-back) to the NCAA Swimming & Diving Championships.
RESULTS
- In the 1650-free, two freshmen made their mark as Cody Lonsberry took first, earning his first conference title while setting a program record at 15:25.13. Broder Swenson followed with a third-place finish at 15:29.16.
- Matvei Namakonov finished in second place in the 100-free with a time of 42.82, closing his conference meet career with 19 podium finishes.
- UD took second and third in the 200-back with Kal Levterov finishing in 1:43.92 and Denys Mialkovskyi in 1:44.38.
- Brian Wilbur closed out the individual portion of the championships swimming a 1:56.87 in the 200-breast, ending with a bronze medal.
- The quartet of Addison Collins, Kade Snyder, Josh Donovan, and Namakonov swam to a 2:54.02 time in the 400-free relay, earning second place.
HISTORY MADE
Namakonov and Snyder mark the third and fourth time, respectively, that a Fightin' Blue Hen has qualified for the big dance. This is the third-consecutive season that a men's swimmer has advanced to the meet. Namakonov and Toni Sabev '25 are the two who have made it previously. This is also the first time that UD has sent two swimmers in the same year.
