Ayeni, Theres-Gruber Earn CUSA All-Conference Honors

DALLAS - Throws athlete Olamide Ayeni and distance runner Marie-Theres Gruber received third team all-conference from Conference USA, the league announced on Monday.
The 2026 Conference USA Indoor Track and Field All-Conference Teams were determined at the championship meet, held February 27-28 in Lynchburg, Virginia at the Brant Tolsma Indoor Track Complex. Athletes who finished first were named First Team All-Conference, second place finishers were named Second Team All-Conference and third place finishers were named Third Team All-Conference.
Ayeni finished third in the shot put with a mark of 14.56 meters. Gruber was third in the 3,000-meter run with a time of 9:38.29. The two athletes are the first Fightin' Blue Hens to receive all-conference accolades since the transition to CUSA.
