Men's Tennis Wins Fifth-Straight in 4-0 Blanking of Navy

ANNAPOLIS, Md. - University of Delaware men's tennis swept Navy by a score of 4-0 on Friday for its fifth-consecutive win. The Fightin' Blue Hens improve to 8-1 on the year. The Midshipmen drop to 14-10.

The match, originally scheduled to be played in Newark, was moved to Annapolis due to inclement weather.

ON THE RECORD
"Thank you to Navy and their coaches for being able to make the switch and host us in Annapolis today," interim head coach Nathan Perrone said. "The weather in Newark has been tough to cooperate with lately. Another great road win against a tough team. Looking to build off of this and do a lot of things better tomorrow in our home match against Bryant."

HEN HIGHLIGHTS

Delaware captured the doubles point behind wins from Tobey Lock/Euan Mackenzie, who won in a tiebreaker and Mason Robins/James Sclater, winning 6-2.
Robins got things started for the Blue Hens, winning sixth singles 6-1, 6-2. The junior rose to 14-1 in singles and 4-0 in dual match play.
Mackenzie picked up a win in fourth singles, winning 6-3, 6-1.
Federico Garbero secured the match for UD, defeating an opponent in Jason Kim, who took him down earlier in doubles action 6-2, 6-2.
