Men's Basketball Adds Transfer Devin Dinkins

NEWARK, Del. - The University of Delaware men's basketball program signed transfer Devin Dinkins to the 2026-27 roster, head coach Martin Ingelsby announced Saturday. Dinkins will join the Fightin' Blue Hens after spending the last two seasons at Manhattan.
"We are eager to welcome Devin to our Blue Hen basketball family," Ingelsby said. "He brings three years of college experience and will be a key piece in what we do this season. Welcome to the 302, Devin!"
The 5-10 guard from Washington D.C. shoots 39.1 percent from the field, 37.7 from three, and 87.7 from the free throw line, while averaging 9.6 points per game, and has appeared in 94 games, with five starts in his career.
In the 2024-25 season, Dinkins was named the MAAC Sixth Player of the Year after averaging 30.9 minutes per game over the team's 31 matchups. Dinkins tallied 13.6 points per game, while shooting 43.2 percent from the floor, 43.8 from three, and 87.7 percent from the line that season. He was then named to the 2025-26 Preseason All-MAAC First Team before missing last season.
Prior to Manhattan, Dinkins spent two years at George Mason, but only played in his freshman season where he made 31 appearances with four starts.
Dinkins played for Gonzaga College High School in Washington, D.C. where he averaged team highs of 17.8 points and 3.4 assists per game as a senior while leading Gonzaga to a PrepHoops Top-20 DMV ranking and a 10-5 WCAC record. He also earned Washington Post All-Met First Team and First Team All-WCAC, and finished off his season with ACIT All-Tournament accolades after tallying a 29-point, 7-rebound, 4-assist outing vs. Mount St. Joseph. Dinkins was a McDonald's All-American nominee, the No. 54 point guard nationally and No. 3 recruit in D.C. by 247 Sports composite rankings, and the No. 62 point guard nationally by ESPN.com. He also played AAU ball for the D.C. Premier.
