Morgan Gore Named ASUN Scholar-Athlete of the Year; Six Blue Hens Earn Academic All-ASUN

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – University of Delaware women's lacrosse senior Morgan Gore has been selected as the Atlantic Sun (ASUN) Conference Women's Lacrosse Scholar-Athlete of the Year, as announced by the league office Monday morning. The award was voted on by academic advisors and sports information directors from each institution who could not vote for their own student-athlete. Additionally, the Fightin' Blue Hens had six student-athletes, including Gore, earn Academic All-ASUN recognition.
To be eligible for Academic All-ASUN, student-athletes must have a cumulative 3.50 GPA, participated in 50% of contests during the season, have completed four semesters of college coursework OR 50% of progress towards a degree and have one year of residence at the institution. Student-athletes in post-graduate programs must have a cumulative 3.50 GPA and have participated in 50% of contests during the season. Schools nominated one of their six Academic All-ASUN submissions for Scholar-Athlete of the Year.
Gore becomes Delaware's first ASUN Women's Lacrosse Scholar-Athlete of the Year in UD's first season in the conference. She is set to graduate this spring with a finance degree and owns a 3.98 cumulative GPA. A seven-time member of the Dean's List, Gore was a six-time CAA Commissioner's Academic Honor Roll honoree and was a 2024-25 CSC At-Large Academic All-District Team selection. This season, she is second on the team with 31 goals and has 36 points in 15 games with seven hat tricks and 12 multi-point performances. Gore reached the 100-career point mark in Delaware's final home game of the season and surpassed the 50-career ground balls and 50-career draw controls milestones earlier this season.
Kat Baseggio owns a 3.79 cumulative GPA as a global enterprise management and finance double major. The junior is a four-time selection to the Dean's List and a three-time CAA Commissioner's Academic Honor Roll selection. Baseggio is among the team leaders with 29 ground balls and 16 caused turnovers while playing in all 16 games this season. She is a backbone on Delaware's stiff defense, that leads ASUN and ranks 17th nationally in scoring defense at 8.31 goals per game.
Maggie Farragher has a 3.87 GPA as a finance major and is a seven-time selection to the Dean's List and a six-time member of the CAA Commissioner's Academic Honor Roll. A two-time captain, Farragher has played and started all 16 games on defense for the Blue Hens this season scooping up 19 ground balls and registering 14 caused turnovers.
A communications major, Jaclyn Marszal owns a 3.92 cumulative GPA and is a six-time selection to the Dean's List as well as a four-time member of the CAA Commissioner's Academic Honor Roll. She was named to the 2024-25 CSC At-Large Academic All-District Team. In 16 games this season, Marszal leads the Blue Hens with 62 points on 25 goals and an ASUN-leading 37 assists. She has four games this season with at least seven points, including a 10-point performance against Queens earlier this month. Her eight assists at Queens are tied for the third-most in a game in Delaware history and the most by an ASUN player this season.
Steph Marszal owns a 3.72 GPA as a biological sciences major and is a seven-time selection to the Dean's List as well as a five-time member of the CAA Commissioner's Academic Honor Roll. The senior has started all 16 games in goal for the Blue Hens this season, registering a 8.31 goals against average to lead the ASUN and rank 15th nationally. She has made 89 saves and has a .401 save percentage while having 10 games where she held opponents with less than 10 goals.
Riley Sturtevant is a sport management major and owns a 3.75 cumulative GPA. She is a six-time selection to the Dean's List as well as a six-time member of the CAA Commissioner's Academic Honor Roll. In 16 games this season, Sturtevant has 20 goals and seven assists while also registering 18 ground balls and 16 caused turnovers. She has seven multi-point performances.

Delaware won the ASUN Regular Season Championship with an 8-0 record in conference play. The top-seeded Blue Hens will travel to Jacksonville for the 2026 ASUN Championship this week and has a bye through the quarterfinals. They will play in the first semifinal game at 3 p.m. ET on Thursday, April 30 against the winner of fourth-seeded Lindenwood and fifth-seeded Coastal Carolina.
