Ice Hockey Adds Hailey Anderson to 2026-27 Roster

NEWARK, Del. – The University of Delaware ice hockey team added its first transfer of the offseason as Hailey Anderson has joined the program, head coach Allison Coomey announced on Friday. Anderson, a forward from Greer, South Carolina, joins the Fightin' Blue Hens after playing two seasons at Franklin Pierce University where she helped lead the hockey team to a conference championship and the program's first NCAA Tournament appearance in 2026.

Bio: Played high school hockey at Shattuck St. Mary's, serving as a four-year captain… Helped lead Shattuck to a national championship as a senior in 2023… Scored 10 points in the national tournament… Named offensive player of the year in 2022 and earned team MVP honors in 2019 and 2021… Played for the Philadelphia Jr. Flyers, winning a district championship in 2024 and reaching the national semifinals… Also played for the Carolina Rage Hockey Club (boys), serving as a team captain in 2018… Selected to the USA National Player Development Camp (U16/U18) in 2021… Played soccer for the Carolina Elite Soccer Academy… Father, Darren, and uncle, Darcy, played club ice hockey at Iowa State, winning a national championship in 1999… Father, Darren is in Iowa State Hall of Fame and uncle, Darcy, played professionally in Italy and in the ECHL… Sister, Gracie played ice hockey at Michigan State and brother, Dawson, is playing in the NAHL.
