Track & Field Competes at Final Regular Season Meet before CUSA Championships

PRINCETON, N.J. - The University of Delaware track & field program competed at the Larry Ellis Invitational, hosted by Princeton, on Friday and Saturday May 1-2.

RESULTS

Olamide Ayeni won the women's discus with a throw of 53.85 meters. Her mark is a new personal record and ranks second all-time in program history. She also finished 10^th in the shot put at 14.34 meters.
Leah Clear finished ninth in the 1500-meters at 4:25.88. Her time ranks fifth all-time in program history.
Morgan Mims finished fourth in the 400-meters at 55.84. Her time ranks ninth all-time in program history.
Erin McGoey's time of 10:57.29 is a new personal best and ranks sixth all-time in program history.
The women's 4-by-100-meter relay team of Alexis Hardy, Jacquelyn Rolle, Jahzara Emeli and Mims was seventh at 48.22.
Sophia Axelrod was eighth in the hammer throw at 55.55 meters.
Taylor Stone was eighth in the high jump at 1.68 meters.
Rachel Schmitt was 10^th in the javelin throw at 40.49 meters.
Nubia Evans-Shields was 10^th in the discus throw at 45.70 meters.
The top Blue Hen finishers include Kadence Dumas in the 800-meters (2:07.80), Nina Sgambelluri in the 5,000-meters (17:31.25), Emily Brown in the 400-hurdles (1:05.17), and Hardy in the 100-meters (12.32).

The next time the Fightin' Blue Hens compete will be at the Conference USA Outdoor Championships in Murfreesboro, Tennessee, hosted by Middle Tennessee State, from May 14-16. All three days of the championships can be viewed on ESPN+.
