Ayeni, Leath, Dumas Earn All-Conference Honors

DALLAS - Throws athlete Olamide Ayeni, sprints athlete Lauren Leath, and middle-distance runner Kadence Dumas from the University of Delaware track & field program received Conference USA all-conference honors for their performances at the outdoor championships from May 14-16, the league announced on Wednesday.
Leath and Ayeni received first team all-conference honors while Dumas received third team all-conference honors.
Leath earned first team all-conference honors after she won the 400-hurdles with a time of 59.63. She is the first Blue Hens' athlete to win the 400-hurdles at the conference championship. Her time is a new personal best and ranks second all-time in program history. The junior earned a silver medal at the Coastal Athletic Association indoor championships as a member of the distance medley relay team.Â
Ayeni received first team all-conference honors after she won the discus throw with a mark of 55.10 meters. Her mark is a new personal best and ranks second all-time in program history. The mark is also tied for 39th best in division I. Last season, Ayeni earned first place in the discus throw at the CAA outdoor championships. Earlier this winter, Ayeni received third team all-conference honors for a third-place finish in the shot put.Â
Dumas earned third team all-conference honors after she finished third in the 800-meter run. Her time of 2:06.29 is a new personal best and ranks second all-time in program history. This is the third bronze medal Dumas has earned in the 800. She placed third in the event at the 2024 and 2025 CAA outdoor championships.
